Grand Season Finale: The Steinway Artist Series IV
May 23, 2027
Starting: 6:00 PM
Six pianists, a violin soloist and the Miami Symphony Orchestra close the season with a program built around keyboard virtuosity and large-scale orchestral writing. Grand Season Finale: The Steinway Artist Series IV takes place Sunday, May 23 in Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
Conducted by music director Eduardo Marturet, the concert concludes MISO’s 2026-27 Steinway Artist Series, a season-long focus on piano-centered repertoire and internationally recognized Steinway artists. The program opens with Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin and Piano in D minor, featuring violinist Daniel Andai and pianist Ciro Fodere, followed by Khachaturian’s Piano Concerto in D-flat major.
The finale brings six pianists to the stage for two works: the world premiere of Marturet’s Miami Vice for Six Pianos, a MISO 2027 commission, and Liszt’s Hexameron for Six Pianos. The six-piano lineup features Elisha Abas, Kevin Kenner, Kamil Pacholec, Harmony Zhu, Victoria Wong and Ciro Fodere, closing the season with a rare display of ensemble piano performance.
