Grow & Compete: Squash Planting Workshop

Learn the basics of growing squash and pumpkins in a hands-on workshop at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Grow & Compete: Squash Planting Workshop takes place Sunday, July 20, offering practical guidance for gardeners of all experience levels.

Led by educator and environmental communicator Tatiana Castro, the session includes live demonstrations, expert tips and all necessary supplies for planting members of the Cucurbita genus. Participants will also have the chance to join a beginner-friendly Halloween Squash Competition, with prizes awarded later in the season. The workshop encourages community connection through shared learning in a garden setting.
