Hairy Situation: A Comedy Show by ALOK

Personal storytelling and sharp observational humor take center stage as ALOK explores identity, beauty standards and everyday mishaps through a comedic lens. The performance takes place Wednesday, March 25 at the Miami Improv Comedy Theater, bringing their latest show to South Florida audiences during a national tour. Blending stand-up with elements of poetry and social commentary, the set moves between playful anecdotes and more reflective material.

ALOK is an internationally recognized poet, comedian and public speaker whose work examines gender, self-expression and cultural norms. Their books, including Beyond the Gender Binary and Femme in Public, have reached a global audience, while their performances have sold out at major festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe and Netflix Is a Joke Festival. They have also appeared in film and television projects including Sort Of, Random Acts of Flyness and Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness.

The show takes place in an intimate comedy club setting with first-come, first-served seating. Guests must be 21 or older to attend, and a two-drink minimum applies inside the showroom.
