Harvest & Heal Festival
May 31, 2025
From: Noon to 5:00 PM
An afternoon of nature-based wellness activities invites participants to connect with the land, their community, and themselves in a restorative farm setting. The Harvest & Heal Festival takes place on Saturday, May 31 at Urban GreenWorks' Cerasee farm.
Held in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the event combines guided outdoor experiences with mindfulness and creative practice. The day begins with a farm tour and harvest picking led by Chef Dani F., offering insight into the cultivation of herbs and vegetables while allowing participants to gather fresh ingredients directly from the farm.
At 1:00 p.m., The Mindful Chop—a workshop led by Les and Jaz Espinal, Chef Dani and Roger Horne—blends breathwork with a hands-on activity. Participants use the day’s harvest to create custom seasoning jars, with space for reflection and open conversation woven into the process.
The schedule continues with a Bee Workshop at 3:00 p.m., led by beekeeper Rebecca, who will explore the ecological and symbolic role of bees in supporting both environmental and emotional balance.
Guests are encouraged to come prepared with sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, closed-toe shoes, refillable water bottles and sun-protective clothing for a comfortable outdoor experience. Designed to be both immersive and welcoming, the festival centers on the connection between mental health, nature and community care.
