HGAW Shabbat Dinner

A communal Shabbat dinner at Florida International University centers reflection, remembrance, and dialogue as part of Holocaust & Genocide Awareness Week (HGAW). Presented by FIU’s Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs in partnership with Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi), the gathering brings students and community members together to mark Shabbat while engaging with living history.

Held on Friday, January 23 at FIU’s Modesto A. Maidique Campus (MMC), the evening includes a shared meal and an opportunity to hear firsthand testimony from a Holocaust survivor. The program underscores the goals of HGAW by fostering awareness, intergenerational learning and collective remembrance within an academic and community setting.
