An annual awards luncheon honors individuals and organizations whose leadership and legacy have shaped Miami’s cultural, civic and historical landscape.
The 2nd annual History Icon Awards take place Tuesday, February 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and are hosted by HistoryMiami Museum at Joe’s Stone Crab. Now in its second year, the event recognizes exceptional contributions to the Miami community across areas including preservation, education, philanthropy and public service. The awards celebrate those whose work has had a lasting impact on the city’s social, cultural and economic life, aligning with the museum’s mission to preserve and share Miami’s history.
The 2026 honorees include the Wolfson Family, receiving the Legacy Award; the Ansin Family, recognized with the Philanthropy Award; the Orange Bowl Committee, honored with the Education Award; Dr. Paul S. George, recipient of the Preservation Award; and Congresswoman Carrie P. Meek, honored posthumously with the Leadership Award. Individual tickets are available, with sponsorship opportunities also offered in support of HistoryMiami Museum’s programs and initiatives.
