Holiday Microplastic Art Workshop

A creative, conservation-minded workshop unfolds at Moonlighter Fablab, inviting participants to turn reclaimed microplastics into seasonal artwork while learning about ocean stewardship. The session takes place on December 19 and offers a hands-on introduction to transforming beach-collected debris into expressive, visually striking pieces.

Set within a relaxed holiday atmosphere, the afternoon includes a festive movie, candy canes and time to explore how discarded materials can become part of a collective art project. Completed works will be held for an upcoming exhibition, with details shared once the show is scheduled. Students can earn double community service hours for participating.

All materials are provided, and the workshop is open to ages 10 and up with no prior experience required. Advance registration is encouraged.
