Haunted houses, carnival rides and scare zones return for a new season at a different Miami location. The House of Horror Haunted Carnival opens Thursday, September 24 at Tropical Park, marking a move from its former home at Miami International Mall after more than 25 years of Halloween programming.
Five haunted houses are planned for the 2026 edition. Announced themes include Hide and Seek: Warden’s Game, set in an abandoned Miami junkyard, Camp Dead-End Trails, where escaped inmates encounter a deadly mountain camp, The Abduction, centered on a containment breach inside a military bunker and Islas de las Muñecas, a post-apocalyptic story set on the Island of the Dolls.
Admission includes unlimited haunted house visits, unlimited rides and free parking. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Hours are 6 to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday and 6 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. The carnival will be closed September 28, October 5 and October 12.
