Islands of Biscayne Bay Cruise
Aug 22, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Biscayne Bay’s private islands, landmark estates and waterfront history come into focus during a narrated evening cruise led by Museum of Miami resident historian Dr. Paul S. George. The annual Islands of Biscayne Bay Cruise departs Saturday, August 22 from Island Queen Cruises at Bayside Marketplace, with the two-hour tour scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Along the route, guests will hear stories tied to Fisher Island, Miami Beach, Flagler Memorial Island, Palm Island and other sites connected to the city’s development.
Dr. George, a Miami native, author and former college professor, has led historic tours for Museum of Miami for more than three decades. His commentary connects Biscayne Bay landmarks with figures such as D.A. Dorsey, Carl Fisher, Henry Flagler and Al Capone, placing familiar waterfront scenery within the broader history of South Florida.
The ticket includes water and soda service onboard as well as complimentary admission to Museum of Miami. Additional light snacks and drinks will be available for purchase from Island Queen Cruises. Guests are encouraged to arrive at Bayside Marketplace between 5:15 and 5:45 p.m. for check-in, as the vessel cannot return for late arrivals once it has left the dock. The Miami Lady features an air-conditioned lower deck and an upper deck accessible by stairs only.
