iWitness Lunch Break in Little Haiti
Dec 05, 2025
From: Noon to 2:00 PM
A midday program centered on immigrant artistry and Miami Art Week’s presence in Little Haiti offers visitors a chance to explore how artists reshape ideas of home through creative practice.
The iWitness Lunch Break in Little Haiti brings curators Edouard Duval-Carrié, Carl-Philippe Juste and Marie Vickles together for a conversation about the exhibitions on view at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex and nearby spaces, moderated by Dr. Rebecca Friedman of the FIU Public Humanities Lab. Presented under the Global Borderless Caribbean theme Immigrant Artists at Work: Creating Dangerously, the talk reflects on how creative expression helps communities endure and reimagine place across borders.
The afternoon also includes a performance by jazz musician Curtis Lundy, music by DJ Mack and a served lunch. The event is part of Miami Art Week programming at an officially recognized Art Basel venue.
