From: 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM
A major konpa performance anchors the first 2026 edition of a monthly series celebrating Haitian music and culture in Little Haiti.
Sounds of Little Haiti takes place on Friday, January 16 at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex. The evening features a highly anticipated return by VAYB, marking the band’s first performance in Little Haiti in more than seven years.
Led by vocalist Mickael Guirand, VAYB is known for blending konpa rhythms with contemporary production and emotionally driven songwriting. Their catalog includes widely recognized songs such as “Lamoun Fasil” and “Ou Pa Nan Plas Mwen,” which have earned the group a dedicated international following.
Presented as part of the ongoing Sounds of Little Haiti series, the event combines live music with food and drink offerings, creating a social atmosphere centered on dance, community and Haitian cultural expression.
