James Beard Foundation's Taste America®: Miami

Three Miami chefs come together for a four-course collaborative dinner exploring Japanese, Caribbean and Latin influences at Wynwood Event Center. The Wednesday, October 28 program features Raheem Sealy and Monika Dominguez of Shiso Miami with Sebastian Vargas of Los Félix, Krüs Kitchen and Füm as part of the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America series. Beverage pairings accompany each course.

Sealy and Dominguez are members of the James Beard Foundation’s 2026–2027 TasteTwenty class, an annual group highlighting chefs whose work reflects emerging directions in American dining. Their cooking at Shiso Miami draws on Japanese-inspired wood-fired techniques and Caribbean flavors, while Vargas brings a perspective shaped by sustainability, tradition and contemporary Latin influences.

Now in its 14th year, Taste America presents chef-led dinners in cities across the country while supporting the James Beard Foundation’s programs for independent restaurants and the broader food system. Proceeds from the Miami event benefit the Foundation’s national programming.
