Feb 27, 2026
Seating starts at 7:00 PM | Concert: 8:00 PM
A groove-driven outdoor concert blends soul, funk and jazz with contemporary production in a setting designed for communal listening and open-air energy.
Jazz at MOCA presents Kendall “King” Friday on Friday, February 27 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami. A self-taught musician, producer and songwriter, Friday draws from R&B, soul, funk, gospel and jazz traditions rooted in the American South. He leads the ensemble Weeks End, known for live performances that emphasize improvisation, rhythmic interplay and audience connection, allowing each set to unfold organically in real time.
The performance is part of Jazz at MOCA, South Florida’s longest-running free outdoor jazz concert series, presented on the museum plaza on the last Friday of each month. Seating opens at 7 p.m., with the concert beginning at 8 p.m., and registration includes access to MOCA’s galleries through 10 p.m.
