Jazz Encounters ft. Kate Reid & Chuck Bergeron

Enjoy an evening of jazz at WDNA FM on Friday, September 13, as Jazz Encounters presents a performance by vocalist Kate Reid and bassist Chuck Bergeron.

Kate Reid, a seasoned jazz singer and pianist, has made her mark in both Los Angeles and Miami's jazz scenes, collaborating with notable musicians like John Daversa, Martin Bejerano and Ernie Watts. Her extensive career also includes work as a studio singer in Los Angeles, lending her voice to major films and television series.

Chuck Bergeron, a New Orleans native and accomplished bassist, brings four decades of experience to the stage. His career includes performances with jazz legends such as Stan Getz, Randy Brecker and Arturo Sandoval. Currently, he leads the South Florida Jazz Orchestra and directs the Jazz Pedagogy Program at the University of Miami.

Following the performance, an open jam session will take place, inviting musicians of all levels to participate.
