John Scofield's “Electrospective"
Oct 24, 2026
Doors open: 7:00 PM | Show starts: 8:00 PM
Jazz guitarist John Scofield revisits decades of genre-blending work in a live performance at the Miami Beach Bandshell, joined by a lineup of veteran collaborators. The concert takes place Saturday, October 24, featuring Scofield’s Electrospective project, which reinterprets material from across his career.
A three-time Grammy Award winner, Scofield is known for bridging straight-ahead jazz with funk, fusion and groove-driven improvisation. Electrospective draws from projects such as Blue Matter, Überjam and A Go Go, revisiting those compositions with a contemporary approach rather than recreating their original recordings.
The performance features bassist Oteil Burbridge, whose work spans groups including the Allman Brothers Band and Dead & Company, keyboardist Larry Goldings, known for collaborations across jazz and popular music, and drummer Adam Deitch of Lettuce. Together, the ensemble brings a mix of improvisation and rhythm-focused interplay to the program in an open-air setting.
