Josh Johnson's Comedy Band Camp

Stand-up comedy and live music come together in a show built around the communal energy of band camp and the nostalgia of summer gatherings. Josh Johnson brings Comedy Band Camp to the Adrienne Arsht Center on Friday, January 8, as part of the Live at Knight series, combining comedy, musicianship and an ensemble-style performance format.

Johnson is an Emmy-nominated writer, stand-up comedian and Daily Show correspondent and rotating host who previously spent seven years writing for the Comedy Central program. He has also written and performed for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In 2026, he released his first HBO stand-up special, Symphony, continuing a body of work known for observational storytelling and an increasingly prominent use of music.

The show reimagines the summer-camp experience Johnson says he never had, bringing performers and audience together around the shared atmosphere of one large band.
