La Gente del Barrio, a not-for-profit organization, is partnering with VG27—Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s Foundation to present the inaugural 2025 La Gente del Barrio Home Run Derby & Celebrity Softball Game, along with the Annual Gala, taking place at loanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins, from December 5–6, 2025.
The weekend kicks off Friday evening with an exclusive VIP Gala during Art Basel, continues Saturday afternoon with the Celebrity Softball Game, and culminates Saturday evening with the highly anticipated Home Run Derby. Proceeds from the event will benefit the La Gente del Barrio Foundation, which supports education, health, and youth sports initiatives. This signature weekend experience is featured in the official Art Basel Miami calendar, aligning with one of the world’s premier cultural events.
