La Poubelle Piano Bar: Julia Marchant & Friends

A one-night guest appearance brings Chicago piano bar performer Julia Marchant to the intimate stage at La Poubelle in North Beach. Filling in for resident pianist Rick Leonard, Marchant will be joined by invited guests for an evening of sing-alongs, standards and audience favorites in a cabaret-style setting.

Known for her dynamic piano bar performances, Marchant blends vocal interpretations with humor and interactive moments, continuing La Poubelle’s tradition of old-school showmanship in a compact, theatrical space. The venue, tucked behind an alley entrance marked by a discreet sign, seats approximately 50 guests and features leopard-print accents, chandeliers and a small stage designed for close-up performances.

Presented by Normandy Arts LLC, the event takes place Thursday, March 5, with doors opening at 7 p.m. and the show beginning at 8 p.m. Guests may order cocktails and food curated by La Poubelle co-founder and Silverlake executive chef Benoit Rablat. An additional food and beverage minimum of $25 per person applies. Seating is cabaret-style and assigned upon arrival, and guests may share tables with other attendees. This event is 21 and over.
