Funk, jazz, soul and psychedelic rock converge in a two-night New Year’s run at the Miami Beach Bandshell. Performances take place Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1, at 8:30 p.m. Presented by GMP Live and Dayglo Presents, the concerts bring Lettuce back to Miami Beach as part of the band’s Cook Tour.
The Grammy-nominated sextet is known for improvisational performances built around tight rhythms, horn arrangements and deep-pocket grooves. The lineup features Adam Deitch, Adam “Shmeeans” Smirnoff, Erick “Maverick” Coomes, Ryan “Zoid” Zoidis, Eric “Benny” Bloom and Nigel Hall.
The setlists will draw from Cook alongside selections spanning the group’s three-decade catalog, with influences ranging from James Brown and the J.B.’s to Tower of Power and Maceo Parker. Tickets cover both nights and include a $1 charity fee.
