Liene Bosquê: Before Miami Design Preservation League III
Through Apr 12, 2026

A site-specific installation transforms a storefront window on Miami Beach into a luminous reflection on the city’s architectural past. Before Miami Design Preservation League III by Liene Bosquê is presented as part of Oolite Arts’ Windows @ Walgreens exhibition series.
On view from February 11 through April 12 at Walgreens on 67th Street and Collins Avenue, the work traces the silhouettes of demolished Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival and Miami Modern buildings through layered paper and light. Drawing from archival research, Bosquê reimagines these lost structures as glowing forms, referencing South Florida’s sunset tones while preserving their presence in memory.
Bosquê, a Miami-based artist whose practice engages architecture, urbanism and public space, uses the installation to examine the impact of rapid development and the role of preservation. Positioned within a highly visible, everyday setting, the exhibition invites passersby to reflect on the city’s evolving landscape and the histories embedded within it.
