Live at Sweat: Lauren Llánes & Mid-Day Moon

Neo-soul, R&B and indie rock share the bill during an all-ages in-store concert featuring Lauren Llánes and Mid-Day Moon at Sweat Records in Little Haiti. The performances take place Friday, July 31, with snacks and refreshments available.

Llánes blends singer-songwriter storytelling with neo-soul, soultronic, R&B pop and touches of 1970s funk. Her warm vocal style and original songs explore heartache, healing and personal connection, with occasional folk and bluegrass influences.

Mid-Day Moon brings an experimental indie-pop and alternative-rock sound shaped by Y2K rock and contemporary guitar bands. The trio’s catalog includes “Hey Wait,” from the EP Smiling Over Orange City, and its live experience ranges from intimate sets to appearances at venues in Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles.
