Live on the Plaza: Jean Caze Trio

Haitian rhythms, jazz improvisation and Afro-Caribbean melodies come together in an outdoor performance by trumpeter and composer Jean Caze at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Presented Sunday, November 8 as part of the Live on the Plaza series, the concert features the Jean Caze Trio on the Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza for the Arts.

Caze blends Haitian musical traditions with American jazz, drawing on Afro-Caribbean grooves, lyrical trumpet lines and improvisation. His performance career has included appearances with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin, Arturo Sandoval, Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé.

The trio’s set will feature original music, Haitian rhythmic influences and audience interaction. Light bites and beverages are available before the performance, with happy hour pricing offered prior to the concert.
