Locust Late @ The DiLL: Diago L and Diego Melgar

An evening of interactive media and live audiovisual performance unfolds during Locust Late at The DiLL at Locust Projects. The program takes place Thursday, March 26.

Interactive designer Diago L leads a hands-on workshop exploring real-time animation using Tagtool on iPad in combination with TouchDesigner and StreamDiffusion. Participants will learn how gesture-based drawing and prompts can generate responsive visuals projected into evolving digital environments. No prior experience is required, and attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet to follow along.

Following the workshop, musician Diego Melgar expands the system into a live audiovisual performance, routing an original Ableton set into TouchDesigner through custom plugins. The result is an improvised environment in which sound actively shapes projected visuals in real time.
