Sep 12, 2025 - Sep 14, 2025
Fri-Sat: 8:30 PM | Sat: 5:00 PM
A raw and intimate portrait of friendship and survival unfolds through the memories of a young man navigating emotional instability and social chaos.
Los Que Sobran (The Ones That Are Left) will be presented September 12–14 at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center as part of the 39th International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami. Written and directed by Adrián Vázquez, this Spanish-language production comes from Los Tres Tristes Tigres of Mexico City.
Told from the perspective of Alejandro, a young man living with emotionally unstable personality disorder, the play traces the lives of five friends bound together since adolescence. Sofia leads the group, Edith defends it, Emilio thrives in disorder and Camila brings intellect and warmth. As their shared journey unfolds, the story reveals the humor, rebellion, violence and tenderness that shape their bond. At once personal and political, The Ones That Are Left reflects on resilience, love and what it means to grow up in a country marked by uncertainty.
