Maker Faire
This event has passed.
A weekend showcase of invention, hands-on creativity and interactive experimentation brings together engineers, artists, scientists and DIY enthusiasts for a large-scale celebration of the maker movement. Taking place Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo Center, Maker Faire Miami invites attendees to explore projects that span technology, design and craft.
Across the event, participants can engage with exhibits covering robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, electronics and traditional making disciplines, with many demonstrations designed to be interactive. Featured makers include an AI-powered racing experience from AWS DeepRacer Arcade, wearable robotics by She Builds Robots, life-size interactive droid builds from David Alvarez and live armored combat demonstrations that blend historical craftsmanship with engineering.
Part of a global network of Maker Faires that began in 2006, the event reflects a broader movement centered on experimentation, collaboration and skill-sharing. Designed as a family-friendly environment, the program emphasizes learning through participation, offering opportunities to discover new technologies, meet creators and experience how ideas move from concept to creation.
