Mango Swap at Green Space Miami

Celebrate mango season with an afternoon of fruit swapping, community connection and art at Green Space Miami. Taking place Saturday, July 12 from 4 to 7 p.m., Mango Swap at Green Space Miami invites guests to trade mangoes, mango-flavored treats and mango-themed items in a playful, zero-waste event presented by The Things Lab and Miami Time Swap.

Held in conjunction with Jayme Kaye Gershen’s immersive exhibition When Mangos Last in My Backyard Bloom’d, the swap encourages visitors to bring ripe fruit, culinary creations or up to 10 clean and functional mango-inspired goods. Those without items to exchange can make a Pay What You Value donation to The Things Lab. All unclaimed items will be redistributed to local thrift stores or Miami Community Fridges.

The event continues from 7 to 9 p.m. with a Mango Poetry Slam hosted by the Biscayne Poet. When Mangos Last in My Backyard Bloom’d is on view at Green Space Miami through August 9.
