Marco to Miami
Jun 20, 2025 - Jul 20, 2025
Mon-Sat: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Sun: by appointment
Experience the perspectives of Marco Island artists through a dynamic selection of paintings, sculpture and mixed media works featured in a new exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas. This group show offers a regional lens on Miami’s contemporary art landscape, highlighting 14 Southwest Florida-based artists whose work explores personal narratives, environmental themes and diverse stylistic approaches.
On view from June 20 to July 20, Marco to Miami is part of a cultural exchange between the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas (MoCAA) and Marco Island Center for the Arts. Featured artists include Lisett Llorens, Garry S. Wheeler, Judith Carlin, Terry Carter, Gianpaolo Curreri, Nan LaRosa, Randy Keenan, Karen Swanker, Myriam Kriel, Joel Shapses, Nancy Norman, Ann Vreeland, Bea Stinson and Barbara Parisi. The exhibition follows a spring presentation at Marco Island Center for the Arts showcasing artists from MoCAA’s collection, representing countries across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Together, the two exhibitions underscore the power of art to connect communities across geographic and cultural divides while highlighting the role of Florida’s art institutions in promoting inclusive and ongoing dialogue.
