Mexican Slum Rats

A night of punchy indie-punk energy lands at Gramps Wynwood this October as Mexican Slum Rats make their long-awaited return to Miami.

As part of their North American fall tour, the band performs on Wednesday, October 22, presented by Breakeven Booking.

Hailing from Granada Hills, California, the five-piece blends punk urgency with indie hooks and melodic saxophone lines. Fronted by vocalist and guitarist Kevin Villalba, the group also includes bassist Sebastian Felix, drummer Raco Mendoza, guitarist Benjamin Schlesinger and saxophonist Matt Shulman. Tracks like “Fresas con crema,” “Away” and “Bubu Lubu” have earned them a devoted following across the Austin–Los Angeles circuit
