Miami Art Week at Faena 2026
Dec 01, 2026 - Dec 06, 2026
Daily through Dec 06, 2026
From: 12:00 PM to 09:00 PM
A monumental mirrored sphere and an illuminated crown create spaces for music, poetry and public gathering during Miami Art Week at Faena Miami Beach. Running Tuesday, December 1 through Sunday, December 6, the program features installations by Christopher Joshua Benton and Marinella Senatore, presented by Faena Art with support from Chase Sapphire Reserve.
On Faena Beach, Benton’s A Lore Supreme reimagines the disco ball as a sculpture and meeting place. Standing 27 feet tall and spanning 44 feet, the partially buried sphere features thousands of mirrored facets that move with the wind. Embedded speakers carry music and conversations gathered from Miami’s creative communities, tracing the city’s cultural connections with Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America. The installation also provides a setting for performances and dancing.
Inside the hotel lobby’s Cathedral, Senatore’s An Expanded Baroque Crown draws on the illuminated structures used in Southern Italian public celebrations. Visitors can enter its architecture of light, which serves as a gathering space for poetry, music, dance and readings, including programming developed with O, Miami. The Italian artist’s practice brings together light sculpture, performance and audience participation.
At nearby Casa Faena, Kevin Arrow’s The Magic Is You! draws on his archive of 35mm slides to explore Miami Beach’s visual history. Presented through No Vacancy, that installation remains on view through December 19.
The installations are free and open to the public. Related ticketed performances, including Major Lazer’s December 2 concert, have separate admission arrangements.
