Bring your furry, feathered or scaled companions for a day of celebration and community at South Beach's inaugural pet-focused festival. The Miami Beach Promenade Pet Parade takes place on Saturday, March 29, at Lummus Park, transforming the iconic Ocean Drive into a showcase for beloved animal companions.
This free community event features a variety of engaging activities throughout the day. Beginning with registration at 9:30 a.m., pet owners can participate in multiple competitions including a Talent & Trick Contest at 10:30 a.m., a Most Unique Pet Contest at 11:45 a.m. and a Pet Owner & Dress Up Contest at 12:30 p.m. A special demonstration by the Miami Beach Police Department's K9 Unit will take place at 11:20 a.m.
The celebration culminates in the main Pet Parade at 1:30 p.m., where participants will promenade along Ocean Drive with their pets. The event is hosted by NBC dog show announcer and Miami Beach resident Wayne Ferguson.
Beyond entertainment, the event offers practical benefits for pet owners, including free health consultations and vaccinations from local veterinarians. Miami-Dade County Animal Services will be present with their Mobile Pet Adoption Van for those interested in adopting a new pet.
Pre-registration is available for attendees that wish to participate in the Talent & Trick Content, Most Unusual Pet Content and Pet & Owner Dress Up Contest. This event is supported by the Ocean Drive Association, City of Miami Beach and Miami-Dade County Animal Services.
