Miami Book Fair’s Opening Day Block Party

Miami’s dance music history provides the soundtrack for a block party marking the opening of Miami Book Fair. Taking place Sunday, November 15 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in Downtown Miami, Made in Miami: Through the Decades moves from Cuban classics, early disco and freestyle through Miami bass, electro, house and beyond.

DJ and producer Oscar G headlines the homegrown lineup. As one half of Murk alongside Ralph Falcon, he helped establish Miami’s international house music presence through records including “Some Lovin’,” “Fired Up” and “Dark Beat.” DJs Ciro Llerena, Lazaro Casanova, Jesse Perez and Pack-a-Day also perform, with Oba Frank Lords contributing a live percussion and vocal set.

Admission is free and open to all ages. Food and drinks are curated by Smorgasburg Miami.
