Miami Sound Space

A community sing-along brings voices together in a participatory music experience at the Miami Beach Bandshell. Taking place Thursday, May 21 on Miami Beach, Miami Sound Space invites attendees to join an open, inclusive evening centered on collective singing and shared expression. The program is part of the North Beach Social series, a recurring gathering for music and community engagement.

Led by choir director Laurah Mersier, the Miami Sound Choir guides the evening with a repertoire designed for participation rather than performance. The collective operates as an inclusive, community-based choir, with programs that extend beyond traditional settings, including initiatives for incarcerated singers, bedside singing for those nearing end of life and parent-and-child musical groups.

Presented by Rhythm Foundation with support from the City of Miami Beach, the event offers a free, welcoming environment where participants of all experience levels can engage with music in a social setting.
