Mozart and Schumann - Miami Beach
Apr 18, 2026
From: 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
An afternoon chamber music program highlights works by two composers whose styles helped define the Classical and Romantic eras.
Mozart and Schumann will be performed Saturday, April 18 at All Souls Episcopal Church on Miami Beach, presented by the South Beach Chamber Ensemble. The program features Mozart’s Piano Trio No. 4 in E major, K. 542, alongside Schumann’s Piano Trio No. 2 in F major, Op. 80.
Composed in 1788, Mozart’s trio reflects the clarity, balance and melodic refinement associated with the Classical period, while Schumann’s 1847 work brings a more expressive, lyrical approach shaped by the emotional depth of Romantic-era composition. Together, the pieces offer a contrast in structure, mood and musical language across two influential periods in Western classical music.
Performed in an intimate setting, the concert provides an opportunity to experience chamber works that showcase the interplay between piano, violin and cello. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the performance.
