MUVE Volunteer Workday with Miami Waterkeeper

Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science

Oct 15, 2022
9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Lend a hand to restore critical coast habitats on Saturday, October 15 at Historic Virginia Key's North Point. Hosted by MUVE and Miami Waterkeeper, this volunteer workday offers the community an opportunity to enhance native beach dune habitat and do a citizen science-based coastal cleanup. Recommended attire includes close-toed shoes, sun protection, and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! All cleanup materials, water, and snacks will be provided. Bring your own reusable gloves, reusable water bottle, and download the free CleanSwell app on your smartphone to collect marine debris data during the beach cleanup.

Volunteers will register on a first come, first serve basis. Spaces are limited. For check-in, head to the picnic tables at Virginia Key North Point Beach Park. For GPS directions enter “Virginia Key North Point Trails.”

SPACES ARE LIMITED.
