MUVE Volunteer Workday
Nov 21, 2026
From: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Volunteers plant native sea oats to strengthen beach dunes and take part in a community science beach cleanup at Crandon Park. The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science presents the morning workday on Saturday, November 21, at Crandon Park South on Key Biscayne, in partnership with Miami-Dade County’s Miami EcoAdventures. All tools and materials are provided.
The event is part of Museum Volunteers for the Environment (MUVE), Frost Science’s volunteer habitat restoration program, which connects participants with efforts to protect South Florida’s coastal ecosystems.
Check-in takes place at the picnic tables beside Shelter 4, accessed through the park’s South Beach entrance at 6747 Crandon Boulevard. Registered volunteers receive free parking, with passes distributed at check-in. Registration includes the required Frost Science and Miami-Dade County waivers. Participants should bring a reusable water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes, sun protection and clothing suitable for outdoor work.
