National YoungArts Week
The date for this annual event has passed. A new date will be provided when available.
A weeklong series of live performances, screenings and exhibitions brings together the next generation of artists from across the United States for public showcases throughout Miami.
National YoungArts Week 2026 takes place January 5-10 across multiple venues, including the New World Center, the Historic Lyric Theater and the YoungArts Campus. During the week, audiences are invited to experience work by the nation’s most accomplished young artists, selected through the YoungArts competition and working across 10 artistic disciplines. The public programs include performances, writers’ readings, film screenings and a visual arts exhibition, offering a rare opportunity to encounter emerging voices at a formative moment in their creative development.
National YoungArts Week is the culminating public-facing component of an intensive program that brings together artists from across the country to collaborate with peers and develop their craft alongside internationally recognized mentors. Participants engage in interdisciplinary workshops and are eligible for financial awards of up to $10,000, as well as nomination as U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts.
