Orchestral masterworks and vocal artistry converge in an annual concert by the New World School of the Arts Symphony Orchestra at Thomson Plaza for the Arts. The performance takes place Tuesday, February 24, presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center and the New World School of the Arts Music Division.
Under the baton of Dr. Grant Gilman, the orchestra is joined by soprano Sarah Cambidge, the NWSA College Opera Theatre Ensemble and the NWSA High School Choir for an evening that spans late Romantic and 20th-century repertoire. The program features Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music, Richard Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder (Four Last Songs) and Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 4.
This annual Arsht concert showcases the depth and versatility of New World School of the Arts’ student musicians alongside distinguished guest artists in a program of lyrical reflection and symphonic intensity.
