OUTshine After Dark: Corpus

A secluded weekend gathering turns into psychological and supernatural horror in Corrin Evans’ feature debut, screening as part of OUTshine Film Festival: Fall Edition at Silverspot Cinema Downtown Miami. Presented Friday, October 23 as part of the festival’s OUTshine After Dark programming, Corpus follows Sayo, a New York nightlife photographer and small-time drug dealer whose reunion with a longtime friend at a country estate takes an increasingly dangerous turn.

Set in the summer of 1998, the film follows Sayo, aspiring movie star Vince and their friend Ross as an expected weekend of partying gives way to manipulation, paranoia and violence after they encounter three mysterious women. Evans co-wrote the 102-minute film with Lily Cowles, with Jeff Wahlberg, Brodie Townsend and Michael Vlamis leading the cast.

The screening marks the Southeast premiere of Corpus, which previously appeared at Fantasia International Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and NewFest.
