Overture to Overtown: Busman’s Holiday

Spend a Sunday afternoon immersed in live jazz during a celebration of Black musical heritage at The Betsy – South Beach. Overture to Overtown: Busman’s Holiday takes place Sunday, June 22, featuring free performances by some of Miami’s top jazz musicians in honor of Black Music Month.

Inspired by the concept of a “Busman’s Holiday”—when professionals spend their day off doing what they love—this event captures the joy and spontaneity of jazz artists playing purely for the music. Set within The Betsy’s welcoming and elegant spaces, the program spans classic and contemporary jazz styles, paying tribute to the enduring impact of Black musicians on the American musical tradition.

Part of The Betsy’s Overture to Overtown initiative, this special event is a highlight of the hotel’s ongoing live music series, presented seven days a week with no cover or minimum. Guests are invited to enjoy the performances with a drink in the Lobby or by reserving a table at LT Steak & Seafood.
