Party Pupils

Funky house remixes of yacht rock, disco and soul classics shape Party Pupils’ dance-floor sound at ZeyZey Miami. The DJ and producer performs Friday, October 16 on the Zaku Stage, bringing a catalog built around upbeat reworks of familiar tracks and polished house production.

Party Pupils has described the style as “Yacht House,” pairing contemporary dance rhythms with soft-rock and soul touchstones from previous decades. Viral remixes of Christopher Cross’ “Ride Like the Wind,” The Doobie Brothers’ “What a Fool Believes” and Hall & Oates’ “I Can’t Go for That” helped establish the project’s crossover between nostalgic source material and modern club music.

The performance is part of ZeyZey’s ongoing electronic and dance programming in Little Haiti.
