Nov 06, 2025
Doors open: 7:00 PM | Show starts: 8:00 PM
A jolt of emotionally charged emo and guitar-driven dynamism hits Gramps Wynwood this November as Pool Kids return with a sharp new sound and their most expansive album yet.
The Tallahassee-based band performs on Thursday, November 6, as part of their North American fall tour. Presented by Breakeven Booking, the 18+ show is $18 in advance and $20 at the door.
Pool Kids first made waves with their 2018 debut Music to Practice Safe Sex To and gained wider attention with their self-titled 2022 release, earning a spot as a Band To Watch. Now signed to Epitaph Records, the four-piece, Christine Goodwyne, Andy Anaya, Nicolette Alvarez and Caden Clinton, continues to evolve, balancing math rock–influenced arrangements with a growing pop sensibility. Their third album, Easier Said Than Done, recorded with longtime producer Mike Vernon Davis, marks a sonic shift while holding onto the emotional intensity that defines their work.
The lead single and title track, a glossy, bittersweet hook-laden anthem with vocal processing reminiscent of Imogen Heap, signals the band’s broadening palette. Goodwyne describes the song as reflecting on how OCD can drain joy from even the most promising moments—a theme that adds depth to the band’s increasingly polished sound.
Additional performers to be announced.
