Revisit the whimsical world of a pie maker with a supernatural secret during an outdoor screening event at Rooftop Cinema Club South Beach.
The Pushing Daisies Mini Marathon presents the first three episodes of the cult-favorite mid-2000s series created by Bryan Fuller. Known for its vivid, candy-colored visuals and quirky storytelling, the show follows Ned, a mild-mannered pastry chef who discovers he can briefly bring the dead back to life with a single touch. Teaming up with a private investigator, Ned uses this unusual ability to help solve murder cases, while navigating complicated feelings for his childhood sweetheart, Chuck.
The evening’s lineup includes the episodes “Pie-lette,” which introduces Ned and the rules behind his unusual gift; “Dummy,” where a hit-and-run case leads to a deeper mystery; and “Croque à la Mort,” where new revelations emerge and viewers meet Chuck’s eccentric aunts.
The screening takes place on Tuesday, March 31, with doors opening at 7 p.m. and the program beginning at 8 p.m. Seating is first come, first served, and outside food or drinks are not permitted.
