Starting: 7:30 PM
Queen’s catalog gets a full symphonic treatment in a concert that combines rock band, orchestra and choir at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Queen Symphony Sensation comes to Miami on Tuesday, March 2, with a 28-member ensemble performing arrangements of songs including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Somebody to Love,” “Radio Ga Ga,” “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions.”
The touring production brings together two lead vocalists, a soprano, live rock musicians, symphonic players and choral voices to reinterpret Queen’s music on a larger orchestral scale. Guest vocalist Mickey Callisto joins the ensemble for the Miami performance.
Previously presented at concert venues across Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East, the production makes its U.S. tour with a program centered on the theatrical arrangements, layered harmonies and arena-rock sound associated with Queen’s recordings and live performances.
