Race for Champions Miami

Runners and walkers gather on Downtown Miami’s waterfront for a 5K supporting sports opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. Race for Champions Miami takes place Saturday, December 12 at Maurice A. Ferré Park, benefiting Special Olympics Florida.
The Miami race is one of four 5K events in a statewide fundraising campaign bringing together athletes, families and community supporters. Funds raised support Special Olympics Florida’s programs and its work to expand participation, acceptance and inclusion through sports.
Founded in 1972, Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Its programs also create opportunities for athletes to develop confidence, leadership skills and connections within their communities.
