Redland International Orchid Festival

A three-day celebration of rare blooms and global growers returns to South Dade this fall.

The Redland International Orchid Festival® takes place October 16 through 18 at Fruit & Spice Park in Redland, drawing orchid enthusiasts from around the world for what has become a bucket-list event for collectors and hobbyists alike. Held in an open-air setting surrounded by tropical plantings, the festival brings together leading orchid growers, specialty vendors and avid fans for a weekend devoted entirely to the art and science of orchids.

For nearly 30 years, the festival has offered attendees the opportunity to browse and purchase distinctive specimens directly from respected growers, often discovering unusual varieties not easily found elsewhere. A 2026 vendor list will be announced in advance of the event.

Highlights include a judged bench show evaluated by American Orchid Society (AOS) judges, where individual flowering plants compete for ribbons and prestigious AOS quality awards. The plant selected as Grand Champion and the Reserve Champion each receive a $250 festival gift card. Members of the public are encouraged to enter their own flowering orchids for competition. Plant registration for judging takes place Thursday, October 15, from noon to 2 p.m., and entries remain on display throughout the festival weekend.

Advance ticket purchasers are automatically entered into raffles featuring orchid plants, crafts and supplies, with additional drawings held on-site Sunday afternoon. Participating organizations include the American Orchid Society, the Florida Caribbean Judging Center, the Orchid Society of Coral Gables and other Florida orchid societies offering tours and educational opportunities.
