RemiJin Camping : Artist Talk & Workshop
Jul 26, 2025
From: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Artist RemiJin Camping explores the unpredictability of life's journey through medium format infrared photography and invites participants to create their own photographic works using a historic sun-printing technique.
The afternoon begins with an artist talk from 1:00–2:00 p.m., where RemiJin reflects on her work selected for The Eye, The Lens, The Story. She discusses how moments of change, loss and redirection influence her artistic perspective, using infrared photography, archival printing and hand-toned watercolor to capture the emotional impact of life's unexpected turns.
Following the talk, RemiJin leads an all-ages cyanotype workshop from 2:30–4:00 p.m.. Participants learn this historic photographic process that uses sunlight to create distinctive blue images. All materials are provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring small personal objects like leaves, lace or trinkets to incorporate into their unique prints.
The RemiJin Camping: Artist Talk & Workshop takes place Saturday, July 26 at The CAMP Gallery, with doors opening at 12:45 p.m. The workshop welcomes all experience levels and offers participants the opportunity to leave with their own handmade cyanotype creation.
