Resonancias: Paintings by Luis Saldaña

A solo exhibition of oil paintings by Miami-based artist Luis Saldaña explores water as a source of memory and transformation at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay. On view from May 12 through June 9, Resonancias is presented by Gato Gordo Gallery in the hotel’s lobby.

Saldaña’s work focuses on the movement and structure of water rather than traditional landscape depiction, using layered surfaces and transparency to suggest currents, shorelines and organic patterns. His paintings draw on natural processes such as erosion and flow, creating compositions that function as both visual studies and symbolic reflections.

Installed in a publicly accessible space, the exhibition invites visitors to engage with the work in a casual setting. The presentation offers a contemplative viewing experience within the hotel environment.
