Salsa Z Ft. Elisa Baena

A beginner-friendly salsa night reframes the dance floor as a place to learn, experiment and ease into the rhythm without intimidation.

Salsa Z ft. Elisa Baena takes place on Saturday, December 27, at ZeyZey Miami, combining an introductory salsa class with a social DJ-driven follow-up. Designed for dancers who grew up hearing salsa but never learned the steps, the program focuses on fundamentals that translate directly to the dance floor rather than formal choreography.

The evening begins with a guided class led by Elisa Baena, offering a practical foundation in timing, movement and partner connection. Afterward, the space shifts into an open salsa social with DJ sets by DJ Pati and additional selectors, allowing participants to practice in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.

Doors open at 7 p.m., with the class starting at 7:30 p.m., followed by dancing into the night. The event unfolds in ZeyZey’s open-air courtyard alongside a curated beverage program featuring seasonal cocktails, natural wines and non-alcoholic options. On-site dining is provided by Tacos María, serving grass-fed, seed-oil-free tacos made with intentionally sourced ingredients. Happy hour food and drink specials run from 7 to 8 p.m.
