A wide-ranging conversation on art, music and cross-cultural collaboration brings Lee Jaffe to Pérez Art Museum Miami as part of the Scholl Lecture Series.
Scholl Lecture Series: Lee Jaffe in Conversation with Franklin Sirmans takes place Thursday, October 23. Jaffe, a multidisciplinary artist, musician and producer, will reflect on his career in dialogue with PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans, drawing on his experiences collaborating with Jean-Michel Basquiat, Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, among others. The program will be available with live translation in American Sign Language, Spanish and Haitian Creole, and streamed on PAMM’s YouTube channel. Free with museum admission; seating is limited and first come, first served.
About Lee Jaffe
Lee Jaffe’s artistic career spans visual art, music and film, with works held in collections including MoMA, Tate Gallery and LACMA. He performed with Bob Marley and the Wailers, produced reggae albums with leading Jamaican artists and collaborated extensively with Jean-Michel Basquiat. His recent books include Crossroads: Jean-Michel Basquiat/Lee Jaffe (2022) and Hit Me With Music (2024).
