Sip & Create: Teatime and Eco-Artmaking
Jul 11, 2025
From: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Explore the connection between nature, creativity and community during an evening of tea tasting and reflective artmaking at Vizcaya Village.
Sip & Create: Teatime and Eco-Artmaking takes place Friday, July 11 at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. The event begins with a guided tea session led by JoJo Tea, a Miami-based company known for its mindful and culturally rooted approach to tea. Guests will sample freshly brewed green tea while learning how climate, geography and labor have shaped the evolution of the leaf, with insights into flavor profiles, processing methods and caffeine dynamics.
The evening continues with a hands-on zine-making workshop facilitated by educator and environmental communicator Tatiana Castro of Teachings by Tatiana. Drawing on her experience in informal education across museums and gardens, Tatiana’s session invites participants to express their thoughts through collage, drawing or writing in response to themes of climate, place and community. No prior art experience is needed—curiosity is encouraged.
All materials are provided, and tea will be served throughout the event. The program offers space for intentional conversation, artistic exploration and mindful engagement with the natural world.
